What the site knows about you

This page explains what data is needed for learning, where it is stored and when it may be sent elsewhere. The site has no advertising networks or third-party analytics.

Progress

In guest mode your progress is stored only in your browser (localStorage). If you sign in with an email, the progress is also saved on the site’s server hosted in Kazakhstan (Hoster.kz) so it opens on any device. The address itself is not stored on the server — only its irreversible salted hash. No emails are sent and ownership is not verified: anyone who knows the email can open that progress, so do not use someone else’s address.

A profile holds: completed lessons and scores, review cards and their dates, study days, trainer results. The site asks for nothing else.

Usage statistics

To understand which lessons work, the site counts anonymous events: a section opened, a lesson started or finished, the step at which a lesson was closed, the device type (phone, tablet, computer) and the interface language. No cookies, no IP addresses, no name or email. The session identifier is a random number that lives while the tab is open and is not linked to a profile.

Feedback

Messages from the “Spotted a mistake?” form and the About page are emailed to the author and stored on the server together with the context (lesson or card id) and your email, if you left one for a reply.

Recording and speech recognition

Recording starts only when you press the button and grant browser permission. Your recording stays in the open page’s memory and is not sent to the site’s server. It is not kept after you close the page.

Optional speech recognition is separate and requires your consent before starting. The browser’s service may send audio to its servers; processing depends on the browser and its provider. This site does not save the transcript. Use made-up details for practice, and do not say personal or medical information.

Offline use

In the standalone HTML, profiles and progress stay in this browser. Sync, analytics and the server feedback form are disabled. Export and import let you transfer progress manually.

If you install the site as an app or download lessons for offline use, the lesson files and audio are saved in your browser’s cache. That is a copy of the site’s materials, not your data; it is removed together with the site data in your browser settings.

Technical data and spam protection

The hosting provider keeps request logs containing the IP address, time, page address and browser type. The site’s server also uses IP addresses in rate-limit counters to reduce spam and repeated requests. Old counters are removed during periodic cleanup. This data is not included in learning statistics events or linked to a profile.

Cookies

The site uses no cookies. It relies on the browser’s localStorage (progress, language, settings) and sessionStorage (the session identifier for statistics).

Your rights

You can delete the server copy of your progress yourself: profile → “Delete data on the server”. Local data is removed by clearing the site data in your browser. For any question write to khegay.pavel@gmail.com — I will answer and delete whatever you ask.
