How the language works
Direct speech can be followed by dedı (‘said’): «Erteñ kelemın», — dedı. Indirect speech: erteñ keletının aitty — said that they would come tomorrow. When retelling a message, check who the pronouns refer to and how the time expressions relate to the original message.
